CNH Industrial (Autonomy)
Scoped entry: covers only CNH's autonomy/AI agriculture program (Raven Autonomy driverless machines, Sense & Act spraying, automation portfolio, R4 robot family); parent-wide business data is not tracked.
CNH brought its autonomy stack in-house via the $2.1B acquisition of Raven Industries (completed November 2021): perception, path planning, guidance/steering and remote command-and-control that let machines such as the Case IH Trident 5550 applicator operate with no one in the cab, supervised from a mobile device. The Hemisphere GNSS acquisition ($175M, completed October 2023) and the Augmenta camera-sensing team added in-house positioning and vision. Shipping automation products include the Sense & Act AI spraying portfolio (up to 60% herbicide savings via green-on-brown detection), Combine Automation and Planter Automation; driverless tillage for Case IH and New Holland and the cab-less R4 autonomous robot family are in development. New Holland dealers additionally sell and service Bluewhite autonomous retrofit kits for specialty-crop tractors under a 2024 strategic partnership.
