Eelume AS
Autonomous snake-like AUV (autonomous underwater vehicle) spun out of NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) with a decade of SINTEF serpentine-robot research behind it. The Eelume S can undulate eel-like for precision close-range inspection or straighten into a torpedo configuration for transit at speed; fits inside narrow gaps and openings unreachable by rigid ROVs. Multi-modal sensing: cameras, sonar, ultrasonic. Designed to reside permanently on the seabed near subsea infrastructure, eliminating the vessel cost (estimated 90% of conventional ROV inspection cost). Kongsberg Maritime is majority owner; Equinor Ventures is co-owner.
