Space robotics: in-orbit servicing, satellite assembly, lunar construction robot arms
GITAI develops autonomous dual robotic arms (S2) and inchworm robotic arms for in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM). The S2 system completed a fully successful technology demonstration outside the ISS Bishop Airlock in March 2024, achieving NASA TRL 7. GITAI also developed and launched a 16U cubesat in December 2024 for on-orbit servicing demonstrations. A US subsidiary (GITAI Defense and Space LLC, April 2025) targets DoD and NASA prime contracts.
