Hexagon Robotics
Hexagon Robotics is the humanoid robotics division of Hexagon AB, launched in June 2025 with its own brand, Zurich headquarters, president (Arnaud Robert) and commercial operations, selling to external customers rather than serving internal group needs. Its AEON humanoid uses a wheels-on-legs locomotion design and multimodal sensor fusion drawn from Hexagon's metrology and reality-capture portfolio. AEON completed a 2025 pilot at Schaeffler operating multi-machine stations (part loading/unloading, inspection) in live manufacturing environments. In April 2026 Schaeffler committed to deploying at least 1,000 AEON units across its global factory network by 2032, and supplies high-precision actuators back into the platform. Prior incumbent-division exclusion overturned under the corrected subsidiary rule: distinct brand, leadership, product line and external commercial ops (Zoox/Waymo precedent), evidenced by the dated Schaeffler fleet deal.
