ETH Zurich (Gramazio Kohler / NCCR DFAB) spin-off automating reinforcing-steel assembly: robotic arms grip, bend, place, knot and weld individual rebar into reinforcement cages, with the core IP in software that processes design data and computes robot motions, enabling curved geometries impractical to build manually. Over one million rebar elements have been produced on MESH systems in Switzerland; robots operate at Swiss reinforcement manufacturers under rental agreements and MESH holds a contract to produce roughly 10,000 reinforcement cages for the second Gotthard road tunnel. Closed an oversubscribed $3.8M seed round in March 2026 with ABB Robotics Ventures, Sika and Shimizu.
