Saildrone
Builds wind- and solar-powered autonomous uncrewed surface vehicles — the Explorer, the 10 m Voyager and the 20 m Surveyor — that conduct months-long ocean missions for defense ISR, maritime security, ocean mapping and climate science. Vehicles sail autonomously with onboard ML-based target detection and have operated for NOAA, the US Navy and allied navies; an RBR50 2025 award recognized its Gulf of Maine mapping work. In June 2025 four Voyagers began an operational Baltic Sea security mission for the Danish Ministry of Defence (DALO), Saildrone's first European fielding after a $60M EIFO investment, and in October 2025 Lockheed Martin invested $50M to advance USV capabilities for the US Navy.
